CAVINS “SANDTRAP” DOWNHOLE DESANDERS for ESP

The Cavins “Sandtrap” Downhole Desander can be run with a suite of complimentary Cavins products to give your ESP protection from sand and gas - either of which could potentially interfere with your downhole ESP’s efficient operation. It can be used in standard ESP applications along with applications involving shrouds, capillary tubing strings, and all ranges of operating environments.

Cavins provides a range of material options to endure high temperatures, high bottom hole pressures, and extreme environments.

CAVINS “SANDTRAP” DESANDER ESP INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

1. PU & RIH bullplug and then desired length of mud anchor. Cavins recommends
running as much mud anchor tailpipe as the wellbore will allow and/or as much as the
ESP will allow.

2. PU & RIH desander assembly. The 2-3/8”EUE Pin (Male) connection will make up tothe bottom of the ESP motor/sensor.

3. PU & RIH ESP assembly

4. Finish in hole @ 1⁄2 to 2/3 normal rate to protect rubber seal. If tubing tries to float or
casing couplings are showing up on the weight indicator, slow down the rate of
RIH.

5. Seal must be set in the casing, above the perforations, in order for desander system to operate properly.
